Welcome to My Crafted Song ("we," "our," or "us"). By placing an order through our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting your order.

1. The Service

My Crafted Song provides custom, made-to-order musical compositions based on personal stories, memories, and preferences submitted by clients via our order intake forms.

2. Payment Terms

  • Upfront Payment: Because all custom music involves immediate creative labor and studio resources, full payment (or an agreed deposit) is required at checkout before songwriting and production begin.

  • Currency & Security: All transactions are processed securely through Shopify's approved payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

  • Price Changes: Prices for our packages are subject to change without prior notice. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been placed and paid for.

3. Production Timelines & Delivery

  • Standard Turnaround: Standard production typically takes 4 to 7 business days from the date your completed story intake form is received.

  • Rush Orders: If you purchase a Rush Delivery add-on (e.g., 48- or 72-hour delivery), your delivery window begins once all necessary story details have been submitted.

  • Delivery Method: Finished songs and accompanying digital deliverables (such as PDF lyric sheets) are delivered electronically via a secure download link sent to the email address provided at checkout. No physical shipments will be made unless explicitly offered as a separate physical add-on.

  • Client Delays: Production timelines are dependent on clear details provided by the client. If an intake form is incomplete, ambiguous, or submitted late, the estimated delivery date will adjust accordingly.

4. Revision & Pronunciation Guarantee

We strive to make every custom song a treasured memory. To ensure quality:

  • Pronunciation Errors: If our vocalists mispronounce a recipient’s name, family nickname, or hometown that was phonetically provided in your intake form, we will re-record and correct the error at no additional charge.

  • Included Revisions: Each package includes the specific number of revision rounds outlined in the package description (e.g., minor adjustments to lyrics, volume balance, or muting an instrument).

  • Out-of-Scope Revisions: Changing the core genre, musical tempo, or completely rewriting the story after production has commenced falls outside included revision rounds and will incur an additional studio fee.

  • Feedback Window: Revision requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of receiving your track. If no feedback is received within 7 days, the song is considered approved and completed.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Due to the custom, labor-intensive nature of personalized music production:

  • Before Production Starts: If you request a cancellation within 4 hours of placing your order—and before our writers have begun composition—a full refund will be issued.

  • After Production Starts: Once production and songwriting have commenced, orders are non-refundable.

  • Creative Discretion: Music is subjective art. While we follow your chosen style, mood, and story prompts faithfully, variations in artistic interpretation do not constitute grounds for a full refund. We work with you through your package’s allotted revision rounds to get your song right.

6. User Submissions & Conduct

You warrant that any text, stories, names, or reference material you submit:

  • Does not infringe on any third party’s intellectual property, trademark, or privacy rights.

  • Does not contain hate speech, defamatory language, harassment, or unlawful content. We reserve the right to decline any order that promotes hatred, violence, or illegality, in which case a full refund will be issued.

7. Intellectual Property & Licensing

Your use of the completed song is governed by our Music Licensing & Usage Policy. In summary, you receive a perpetual, royalty-free license for personal, non-commercial use (e.g., family events, personal social media, home listening). Commercial redistribution, broadcast, or uploading to streaming platforms (like Spotify) requires a separate commercial license.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, [Your Brand Name] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from delays in delivery, event cancellations, or the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price paid for the specific order.
